Lawnscaping Challenge #79 with How to Pics

Hello again, Today I am taking part of the Lawnscaping Challenge. I am combining 2 techniques which are new to me, using an embossing folder and distress inking. I wanted to show you step by step on how I came up with the idea. I might have taken a bit too many pictures. Well, I hope this helps and you get inspired to try it out.

First I used the Easy Folder Frames to trace the shape on masking paper.

Second I cut out the circle that I will be inking in and place it on my cardstock, I also pick out the colors that I used with my ink daubers.

I colored in the oval and removed the masking tape. The look of an Easter egg was exactly what I was aiming for.

The next step was to use my embossing folder. I didn't know how the embossing image was going to turn out so I placed it face down first and used the sun to line up the frame.

I used washi tape to keep it from shifting and dusted off the old sizzix and ran it through. I didnt want to take any chances and damaging my big shot...hehe I also used a second one and turned the image face forward to see which embossing image I liked best.

I just loved how the two techniques turned out. I stamped it with the Lawn Fawn Happy Easter set and embellished it with SSS sequins. For the background I layered it with Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine Pack.

I know this was a long post but I hope it help and inspired you to try it out! Thanks for stopping by today.

Have a blessed Easter this Sunday!!

April Haul/ Mama Elephant Challenge

Hello Again. Happy Monday, so glad you stopped by and visit me today. I know I've been a little behind (as always) but I hope I can make it up to you today. I got a double wammie for you. I am taking part of the Mama Elephant challenge and sharing a video of some goodies with you.

First off my entry for the challenge. I created this card with Simon Says Stamp Cardstock and the talents of Pretty Pink Posh Designs. The perfect combinations I must say!

The stamp set I used was the Just Hatched  along with the Femme Frame Dies. The cloud is also a die from Mama Elephant the Landscape Trio set

I was able to use the studio multi-medium matte from Claudine Hellmuth to arrange the twine in a twist, I just love how it turn out.

I also used the Nature Embellishment Kit From Pretty Pink Posh. I adore her work and her shop!

Here is my April Haul Video, Hope you enjoy!

Lawn Fawn Challenge #77

Back to using one of my favorite stamp companies, Lawn Fawn   I put this card together without knowing how it was going to turn out. I am not quite sure who to send this to or for what occasion but I just love how it turned out. I might redo the card with a different sentiment. But for now I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

I also used my clear wink of Stella marker for the Sun Stamps the compass and the Sentiment. Its hard to tell with the lighting, my apologies.

Simon Monday Challenge

Today I am entering in the Simon Monday Challenge. I am always inspired by great artist and I have to say  my favorite one is Shari Carroll. She has such a great mind for creative designs. I have learned from her videos on Layering Effects and Distressing quite a bit.

So I decided to give it a shot. Maybe not as quite as good but I am still learning. I listed most of the products I used, the only item I couldn't find were old distressed sheets that I used in the background of this card. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a good Monday :)
