Happy 4th of July

Hello Friends, today I bring you something very special. I was inspired by a card I saw on my latest trip to the craft store. There it was! I said to myself. My 4th of July inspiration sitting on the shelf, It was a flag made from strips of  card stock. I thought wouldn't it be nice if I can incorporate that into one of my cards.

Low and behold I found the solution. Thanks to my Lawn Fawn supplies I put this wonder together!
I took pictures along the way to share with you and hope you get inspired to try this out.
If you do, don't forget to share it with me I'd love to see what you come up with.

I know I wanted to enter the Lawnscaping Challenge for this month and the Stars and Stripes idea sure help out.

On to the Card.....

First step: Cut strips of red, white and blue 1/4 inch size. Second: Cut a base strip to glue on the Red and Blue strips. Third: Start to weave in the white strips.

This is what it should look like once your done weaving the strips. Fourth: Take a sheet of printer paper and place adhesive on it. Then place the weaved sheet over it, cut off the extras.

Fifth: Use the Lawn Fawn Die to cut out the image in red and white, then use the same die to cut out the blue and white part. Now you don't need to use the whole image, all you really want is a small square area for the top left corner. With the size I used I was able to cut out to images.

Sixth: Layer the blue and white image on top of the red and white and cut out the square corner.

Last step: Glue the Blue corner onto the red and white image and you're all set. You can embellish it with rhinestones or any other embellishment for the stars.

If you have any questions or need any help, leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you get inspired and try this out!

Your card is so darn creative...when I first saw it on the "LOVE..handmade" I thought the central element was maybe a purchased item, Wow,I am impressed!
Looks like a winner to me. Good Luck!

I love your card. It is very creative, and time-consuming, I'm sure - but so worth the effort. One of the very best 4th of July cards I have seen.
Thanks for sharing it.
